NAIOP, a national association for commercial real estate, announced that Forest City Covington, developer of Mesa del Sol, will receive its Sustainable Development Award for the Investments office building constructed by Klinger Constructors, LLC. The 217,000 square foot, two-story building is in the certification process for LEED Gold.

Forest City is one of two developers to receive the award that will be presented during the group's annual commercial real estate meeting on Oct. 15 in Chicago. NAIOP established the Sustainable Development Award in 2005 to recognize the growing number of firms engaged in green development.
